An overflowing crowd of students, parents, teachers, and friends came to the auditorium of the Rappahannock County Elementary School on Saturday evening for a benefit concert dubbed a “Coffee House with a New Orleans Flair.” If blue ribbons had been awarded, the judges would have been hard pressed to decide which performers deserved the awards. All were outstanding, each in their own way.
Certainly, a star was rising in 4th grader Kelsa Settle’s galaxy as she sang gospel and country-western ballads in a clear, lovely voice, accompanied by her own guitar picking. Just to 'memorize the words and notes of such songs is an accomplishment in itself. One would have to he^r and see Kelsa, the 10-year- old daughter
