Board of Supervisors had several young visitors in its meeting with a preschool class from Rappahannock County Elementary School. The children gave a condensed version of their school production “Cookie Sweet” play by counting to five in German and singing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Tbes” and “Frfcre Jacques” in French.
Following their performance, Rappahannock County School Superintendent, Dr. Robert Chappell advised the board that construction has begun at the elementary school, in preparation for new air conditioning system to be installed. Chappell also advised that the school is expecting a bond refund in the amount of $20,457 from the Virginia Public School Association (VPSA) from the 1996 construction of the county’s elementary school.
McCarthy introduced Tbdd Gilbert, Republican candidate for the House of Representatives 15th District seat, as a member of the audience.
