McCarthy proposed to the board to form a “small study committee” to deal with concerns made by fire and rescue personnel of considerable inaccessibility of private roads and driveways throughout the county. The committee would return recommendations within several months, according to McCarthy.
Several board members agreed that there are many driveways county-wide that are too narrow, or have considerable vegetation growth restricting access to homes in case of emergency, therefore, the board unanimously voted to form such a committee for the county.
