Belle Meade Day Camp
Belle Meade Day Camp is located in Sperryville on an 138acre farm with streams, meadows, forests, mountains, and a pond. In addition to the natural setting, camp facilities include a swimming pool and a pavilion. A variety of activities both instructional and exploratory are part of each da/s program including swimming instructions, nature hikes, pond'activities, canoing, archery, informal sports, writing, drawing, games, arts, crafts, stories and singing. The purpose of Belle Meade Day Camp is to provide a supportive, nurturing environment with a balance between instruction and discovery / exploration.
The belief at Belle Meade is that everyone learns and develops best in an atmosphere that respects each individual and encourages initiative, curiosity, and imagination. Respect for oneself, for others, and for the beautiful natural environment is a basic tenet of the camp. Students are encouraged to assume responsibility for his / her learning and behavior.
