Following Commencement exercise Friday night at RCHS Mr. And Mrs. C. B. Palmer were hosts at a party honoring the graduating class at their home Scuffle Hill near Washington. On Saturday night members of the graduating class attended a theater party at Wayside Theater in Middletown to see the current production of “Mary, Mary” preceded by dinner at the Wayside Inn. The young people were accompanied by Mr. And Mrs. S. F. Bose and Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Palmer and Wilson Atkins. Others in the group were Janice Dodson, Julia Brown, Virginia Bradford, John O’Bannon, Linda Beahm, Leslie Titchenell, Tim Kilby, Thomas Atkins, Martha Shillingburg, Patrick Alther, Jack Atkins, Judy Mills, Frances Williams, Roger Woodard, David Palmer, Brenda Nalls, Arlene Fincham, and Mary Jenkins.
A spokesman for the Sperryville Revelettes has announced that Connor Jenkins of Boston has received the ham which was recently given away by that group.
Members of the Rappahannock County High School faculty were hosts to the faculties of Sperryville and Washington Elementary Schools at a luncheon Saturday in the high school cafeteria. In addition to the teachers, Superintendent O. A. Norton and Dr. Samuel D. Hill, resigning Instructor of Education were present. Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance entertained at luncheon Saturday at Hampton Inn honoring that faculties of Washington and Sperryville Elementary Schools.
