Flying ambulance

Heather Fadely, D.J. Frye, Ashley Williams, and Danny Huff of the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad walk an accident victim to a Medevac chopper bound for Fairfax Hospital. The victim, a 32-year-old woman from Washington D.C., was riding a horse at the home of a friend on F.T. Valley Road when she fell and injured her back. The landing zone for the chopper was prepared by the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department. This medical flyout was the second last Sunday (October 16) afternoon. A motorcyclist who was struck by a Porsche on US-211 was flown to UVA hospital that Same evening.
