in todays society, teenagers have a lot of responsibility on their plates. Parents don’t make it any easier for them, either. Then again, we don’t make it any easier on ourselves.
As not so responsible teenagers, we tend to shirk what little tasks we are given. We ‘forgot’ or we ‘didn’t feel like it’, then we are shocked when our parents say that we can’t borrow the car to go out for the weekend. How dare they?
The main reason for not lending us the car, besides them being strict buggers, is that we aren’t ready for that sort of responsibility. This seems preposterous to us, but it’s true. Very true. Almost infallible in its truth.
