Financial Analyst-CDGB
Position available in the Department of Management and Financial Sen/ices, Leesburg, VA. The County is seeking a strong team member to develop and implement models for. the financial management of the Community Developrnent Block Grant. Position would provide technical guidance and advice relating to compliance with stipulated County policies and procedures; review and interpret existing and future State and Federal code changes, regulations and guidelines. Complete special analysis projects and participate in or lead project teams as assigned. Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus three years of directly related experience. Education and experience may be substituted where appropriate. Applicant must have thorough knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques of governmental accounting; thorough knowledge of terminology and content of grant financial management; and general knowledge of any applicable automated support systems. Plus, the ability to analyze complex problems and situations and to adopt quick, effective and reasonable courses of action; ability to communicate ideas clearly, concisely and effectively; ability to conduct detailed research and prepare reports and findings; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, County officials and the general public also required.
