In a sidebar to the Fields of Omagh intrigue, Foley retired from race riding Saturday. With the Tuesday birth of his third son, Foley said he now wants to concentrate on training, something he plans to expand when he moves to a farm south of Richmond later this year.
In the day’s other racing, Danielle Hodsdon won three on the card, two for trainer Jonathan Sheppard and one for Ricky Hendriks. Sheppard also captured the popular Steeple* thon race with Foiled Again, apprentice James Slater up.
