Promoting preventive medicine through a healthy lifestyle is the theme of Alive & Kicking — Fauquier Hospital's annual health fair. For 17 years, Alive & Kicking has helped members of the community take an active approach to monitoring their health and wellness, for free. This fall tradition will help residents improve their health through education and awareness.
For the second year since the completion of the hospital's five-story addition, screenings will take place inside the new Tower. Participants are invited to take a peek around the new Conference Center, chapel, gift shop, medical imagining suites and the new cardiopulmonary gym.
Visitors might also want to make plans to have lunch at the Bistro restaurant.
The health screenings will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 22. All screenings are free — the hospital's way of helping people get into the habit of taking charge of their health and well-being.
