RCCA supports the Farmland Preservation Program but does not purchase development rights. Also, the FPP is restricted to working farms; RCCA encourages easements on any property that might be developed.
Who cccepts easement donations?
Easements are normally donated to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation (VOF), created in 1966 by the Virginia General Assembly for that purpose. Other organizations that have accepted donations include the Culpeper Soil & Water Conservation District, the Shenandoah National Park, and a few others.
