i i in new film festival Fauquier County Wright Flyer builder, Ken Hyde and the Wright Experience team, will be featured in a documentary at the first Annual Piedmont Filmmakers Festival on Saturday, •April 8 at Highland School. Mickey Stem’s documentary, ^ “The Wright Brothers: First in Flight,” traces the Wright Experience’s efforts to rediscover the secrets of the Wright l Brothers in their historic quest to build and fly the first -manned and controlled flying machine. t; “We’ve been very fortunate to work with Stem to re-tell . ; and document the story of how Wilbur and Orville invented a flying machine that flew over the dunes of Kitty Hawk on ’ December 17,1903,” said Hyde. “Much of the film was shot in Warrpnton, and captures how we unraveled the Wrights’journey of invention by successively building and flying the Wrights’ early kites and gliders, and the 1903 Flyer.” The Wright Experience is currently at work researching ^ and building the 1908 Wright Model A which flew at Fort Myer, Virginia and Le Mans, France in the summer of that ? y' rm i _ i ii i* < > * i
