The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) and the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation will cosponsor, “Gospel Fest” on April 29, 3-6 PM, at the Theatre in Washington, Virginia. The program will feature local singers and musicians, refreshments and a social for the public and alumni and friends of Scrabble School. The event is a fund raiser to match the grant dollars received for preliminary planning and engineering studies being completed for the rehab of the school building. On Saturday, April 29th, Wakefield Country Day School will host its seventh annual Spring Auction and Dinner, with the theme, Mountain Spring. Tickets are $50 per person, which includes a reception with musical entertainment, delicious hors d’oeuvres, complimentary wine and beer, a sit-down dinner catered by the Flint Hill Public House, a silent auction with over 100 items that range from antiques and personal services to weekend getaways, and a live auction featuring unique class entries.
