Board of Supervisors has approved a proposed contract in the amount of $180,690 with Premier Sports Fields to upgrade the RCHS soccer/football field. In accordance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act the contract with Premier Sports Fields is based on a contract this firm has with Fauquier County Schools, thus eliminating the necessity for Rappahannock County to get sealed bids. McCarthy and Chappell will serve as “CoClerks-of-the-Works” for the project. This will save hiring a genera] contractor.
