County, Rappahannock dropped back-to-back games to Millbrook, 5-1, and 4-2.
Monday night, Stonewall Jackson-Quicksburg, the fourth-ranked Group A school, defeated the visiting Panthers, 2-0. But Rappahannock dominated play, except for the score.
“For us to stick it out like that . we played Stonewall tough," Bell added.
The Generals scored in the second and 78th minutes of the game. Between the goals, Rappahannock controlled play. Three times, the Panthers’ shots hit the goal posts. Rappahannock finished with 23 shots on goal.
“We’re working on finishing (our shots),” Bell said. “The last couple of games, we had 30-plus shots. As soon as we get the ball in the back of the net, we’ll be fine.”
But the Rappahannock boys varsity soccer program is not the only one suffering from a power shortage.
