The Rappahannock County girls varsity high school softball team Friday afternoon found a perfect way to recover from an earlier defeat.
Beat up on another nonBull Run District opponent.
Freshman Amanda Smoot and junior Christina Naramore pounded out three hits apiece in leading the Lady Panthers to a 16-3 win over visiting Group AA opponent Warren County.
The win came just three days after Rappahannock suffered its first loss of the season, an 8-5 extra-inning defeat at the hands of Page County.
“Page is a regional game, and we have to beat them to go on in (Region B) play,” Rappahannock head coach Ritchie Burke said. “But the seven errors killed us. It was just some inexperience, and wp ont. in t.rnnhlp ”
