NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, that it mcfurns the passing of our friend and leader Charles K. "Pete" Estes; that it wishes to formally extend its sympathies to his family at their loss, and that it further extends those sympathies to the hundreds of his friends in our community who feel it keenly as well.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be spread across the minute book of the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County and that a presentation copy be provided to the family of Charles K. "Pete" Estes, with suitable ceremony and expressions of the Board of Supervisors members’ deep and abiding respect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a flag of the United States of America, flown at the Courthouse in Washington, be presented to Mrs. Betty Anne Lillard Estes, as a further remembrance of Pete’s extraordinary career of public and community service.
