Pete Estes was devoted to caring for the public. He served ten years as County Sheriff as well as serving on the Board of Zoning Appeals, Planning Commission and the Water arid Sewer authority.
Estes served as Chairman of the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors for over 25 years and during that time kept a tight fist on development with strict zoning ordinances.
As family members, friends and associates respectfully filed out of the church and processed to the cemetery, long time resident Lucy Kilby reflected.
