Headwaters’ Mini-grant Provides Palm Pilots for a Third Grade Class
Tfechnology Resource Tfeacher Amy Gubler and Third Grade Teacher Shelley Shankle applied for a Headwaters Foundation Mini-grant for use in Ms. Shankle’s 3rd Grade class. The grant was approved enabling them to purchase nine Palm Pilots (PDAs) and .keyboards.
Currently they are using them for writing class, reading, spelling and math. They have been able to load Inspiration Software and some free-ware programs to help support Third grade writing, reading and math. “I can use my Palm, connected to the tree-cart for an overhead demonstration while the children use their Palms to do what I am doing,” said Shankle.
