Hearthstone School
The 9th and 10th grade biology class is currently studying ecology. They are focusing on some of the ecological problems we face today, and some possible solutions, as well as different
Spes of ecosystems, the factors
at affect them and the interaction of different species. They took a field trip to the Luray Reptile Zoo, where they learned about poisonous snakes and other reptiles, many of which are endangered species, and their importance to the planet and our own survival.
The high school math classes are currently studying rational expressions, roots and radicals, direct and indirect variation and trigonometry. They will also be working on a math project that will directly incorporate some of the concepts they are learning.
