The joint DEQ and SWCB
hearing in reference to the waste water disposal system for the Town of Washington on Tuesday night was a dispiriting eye opener if nothing else.
I attended this hearing as a county resident and former 18-year resident of the Town of Washington, a former Town Council Member and Town Treasurer and a 5-year member of the Town Waste Water Committee. It was in the capacity of the latter that I intended to speak in favor of approval of the DEQ application being offered.
