Five foreign exchange students from Rappahannock County schools visited the Pentagon last week and had lunch with Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England. Program coordinator, Carol Lucking organized the event, which included 18 foreign exchange students from the Virginia-area schools.
The students are part of the U.S. State Department’s Youth Exchange and Study Program. The program places students from Muslim countries in the United States to promote mutual understand-,, mg and respect among countries with large Muslim populations.
