profound lessons, of course. She fought amazingly hard and without complaint. While we were continually warned that dogs who are in pain will bite, Amber never even growled no matter what new indignity or painful procedure we were inflicting on her. In the end, I consider myself lucky to have had this last month to give back some of the unconditional love and service she’s given to us over these last 12 years. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a dog in their life like Amber.
And, for those of you asking what this all has to do with Amissville all I can say is that Amissville lost a great asset this last week. And I believe there are many humans and dogs who can understand that!
