Branch Manager
Position with Rust Library in Loudoun County (VA) Public Library System. Requires a Master's degree in Library Science and at least 2 years of related professional-level experience, including supervisory or operational and administrative oversight experience. Prefer prior- experience as a Branch Manager including staff supervision and demonstrated knowledge and experience in customer service excellence. Prior experience in multiple aspects of library branch operations such as facility management, collection management, program implementation, and community development activities also preferred. Public library experience managing both staff and a physical facility is essential. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers, and the community is necessary. The ability to coach and mentor staff is key to this position. Thorough knowledge and understanding of trends in libraries and related technologies is required.
