Both Lee. and Williams said they have never seen a Rappahannock winter that was as warm as this year’s has been.
“I don’t remember any periods this long in the winter of warm weather,” Williams said. “Sometimes you’d get two or three days in a row, but never several weeks.”
Lee said all local plants, not just crops, are budding early this year.
