That's the designation on the SI.15 million construction grant for Sperryville’s sewer system formally awarded by the State Water Control Board on October 8. “Until they gave us this grant number, we couldn't be sure this was going to happen." said WSA secretary Bob Dennis at Monday’s monthly meeting of the Authority.
“We have to Till out a billion forms yet to make the final application...Now the real paper work begins.” Dennis said, noting that WSA members will be attending a special preapplication conference on October 29 with State Water Control Board representatives. “It’s good news but we’ve still got to get the block grant," he added.
The Rappahannock supervisors, on behalf of the Water and Sewer Authority, has applied for $478,193 from the Community Improvement Block Grant program. The Announcement of block grant awards is expected to come from the Governor Charles Robb's office in the first week of November.
