If you can't go on an ocean trip this year, try reading William Buckley's Atlantic High. It is the chronicle of a month's journey in the 71toot ketch Sealestiel as it sails from St. Thomas to Marabella. Spain. There are crisp descriptions of handling a yacht in heavy seas, and colorful sketches of the flora and fauna of Bermuda and the Azores. Of course all of this is spiced with typically witty WFB asides on politics, music, wine, answering mail, etc.
