For much too long, the Federal Government has been trying to do more and more, at ever-higher cost to the taxpayers, in matters which could be dealt with more effectively at state and community levels. Finally, in this administration, the trend is being reversed. I am encouraged, but this new momentum must be maintained. As a taxpayer, privileged to serve in Congress, I intend to continue pushing toivard manageable, limited government. ”> ^
