To the editor
I want to congratulate Carla Eugster and all those associated with the production of “Next Year Jerusalem” for the fine effort in presenting a play of spirit and moral committment. It takes courage of conviction to think, say or do that which is not of a “popular” or familiar nature. But fortunately. theater has long had the tradition of being a forum for the new, different or “avante garde.”
This was not a play that was “easy”—either fbr the cast to portray or the audience to sit back and receive. As audience, it required the effort of opening ourselves to losten. Donder
