Rappahannock's cross country runners blanked Brentsville, 15-50, in last Wednesday’s meet at the Manassas Battlefield, sweeping the first five places. "Our times were a lot better, particularly considering the conditions,” reported a happy Ann Spieker as her runners began to continue to show the form that will make them strong contenders in district competition finals at RCHS on October 27. Again, it was Scott Keithley leading the pack. The junior distance star completed the 2.7 mile course in the rain in 15:41 with Ronnie Atkins at his heels in 15:44. Craig Kenyon was fourth, finishing in 16:04.

Road Race

Scheduled On Wednesday, October 27, Lord Fairfax Community College will hold a Road Rally in the Middletown area. Participants will be required to travel the road near the campus and arrive back with a pre-announced number of items or pieces of information along the route. Prizes are available to the individuals arriving on campus with the largest number of items. All eligible drivers may enter. The course may be run anytime from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There is a $2.00 charge for each person in each car. All proceeds will go toward the new sports program at Lord Fairfax.
