S W Warrenton Dear S W It is true tor a number of reasons Our bodies are machines iust the same as our cars are machines As time goes on parts wear out or break down The fatty covering of the bottom of our feet is thickest at infancy and thinnest m the elderly Less cushioning causes more discomfort The body also tries to ad/usr for changes in a way that cars do not If there is an irritation the body tries to heal or encapsulate the area Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it is even a detrimental process m itself
