“Relax, and close your eyes,” said Lyn Fleming.
“Imagine yourself where you were when you first woke up this morning.... Put yourself in that place and tune in your senses to that moment... the sights, sounds, smells, feelings of where you were....”
Lyn was taking us on what she called an “excursion in guided imagery.” Under her guidance, we effectively relived our morning experiences and walked down familiar streets in our respective communities.
Then the scene changed abruptly. At Lyn's suggestion, we went back in time. Though the location was the same, our surroundings were “the way they might have been a long time ago.”
