The statistics are everywhere—drunk drivers c^use over half the fatal accidents on our highways. Until recently, communites have seemed to accept this fact as part of the cost of living in an imperfect world where people are weak and other people suffer. Drunk drivers responsible for accidents were considered “to have suffered enough,” without much further punishment from the courts.
