amendment that allows churches by special permit in an agricultural zone, Massanova Pentacostal Church on Route 622 near Castleton proposed extending church activities to an adjacent metal building formerly used for heavy equipment repair.
Rev. L D. Savage said that the church had purchased the building and .764 acres from Earl Jenkins. The structure will be used for Sunday school classes, a gymnasium for Massanova's Christian school, a fellowship hall and various activities for young people, he said. Plans call for insulation to be put this spring in the ceiling and walls of the building which now has just treated lumber with metal sheeting on the sides and roof. Savage added.
"You’re not going to use it until you finish renovations?” asked BZA chairman Lee Bird.
