Every 12 months we will review your account. If your account balance shows a slight over-payment or under-payment, that amount will be equally divided over your next 12 monthly bills.
Should a customer fail to make the average monthly payments on time, Potomac Edison reserves the right to withdraw such customer from the plan and return that account to standard billing.
WHAT YOUR ELECTRIC
BILLS WILL SHOW
Your meter is normally read every other month. For those months, you will receive a bill showing the kilowatt-hours you’ve used between meter readings. It will also show your account balance and your average payment amount which is the amount you pay.
On alternate months when we don’t read your meter, the bill will only show your average payment amount, which again, is the amount you pay.
HOW TO ENROLL IN
THE PLAN
If you are a Potomac Edison residential customer, you may participate in the Average Payment Plan by calling the PE office serving your location.
Converting to the plan could take up to two billing periods, depending on the date requested and the date we bill your account. For this reason, we urge you to enroll as quickly as possible if you’re interested.
