Leagues Forming
The Fauquier Recreation Department’s Open Recreation Men’s Basketball League is accepting registration until Dec. 22 for six teams which will play Mondays from Jan. 10-March 14. Entry fee is $275 a team with a 15-player maximum of 18 and older players. Coaches may not participate as players. Each team must furnish its own scorekeeper and two timers.
Practices are slated Jan. 4 and 6 and roster additions may be submitted prior to the first game.
Registrations should be sent to the department office, 14 Main St., Warrenton 22186, with checks made payable to J. E. Cox, treasurer.
The Parks and Recreation Department is forming volleyball leagues for men and women with matches from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 10 through March 14 at Warrenton Junior High School.
You may form a team or register to join a team by calling the department, 347-8630. Entry fee is $85 a team to pay for officials and trophies.
All rosters and entry fees must be turned in by Dec. 22 to the department, 14 Main St., Warrenton.
