PE Rates Drop
Customers of The Potomac Edison Company in Virginia will see a substanatial reduction in their electric bills in coming months.
The State Corporation Commission has approved PE’s request for a lower fuel factor, beginning with billing after December 8. For a residential customer using 1000 kilowatthours, the monthly bill will drop from $63.91 to $59.99—a decrease of $3.92 per month, over 6 percent.
This lower rate will remain in effect at least through March of next year when PE’s fuel costs will again be reviewed by the SCC. Potomac Edison attributed the decrease to a leveling off of fuel prices.
