Ricky’s parents are Santiago and Esther Abad, and he has two sisters. Marie Chris and Marizia; and one brother, Louie. His father owns a piggery in the countryside outside of Manila, commuting each week by plane. At the last minute. Ricky said that his parents had second thoughts about his being so far away, but "by then it was too late," he smiled. For Christmas he has already received a large package from Manila but his family asked him to save his Christmas gifts to them until he returns home next summer. _
