On Tuesday night at home, the Panthers extended their streak to three with a victory over the Page Panthers.
Leake took only eight seconds to give Rappahannock a 2-0 lead, a lead that was never relinguished. Capitalizing on good passing and six offensive rebounds, RCHS built a 25-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
The Panthers continued to increase their lead in a strong second quarter that was marred only by Leake picking up his third personal foul. Rappahannock was ahead. 41-26, at the half in what was beginning to look like a rout.
Unncessary fouls in the second half plagued the Panthers who still managed to lead by 21 points, 49-28, less than midway through the third period.
A strong Page rally in the final quarter spearheaded by Chris Himmler, Mark Comer and Tim Comer, who had 23, 14 and 18 points respectively, cut that 21 points to a slim four, 67-63, with four minutes left. But two teachnical fouls, which Myers converted into two points, and a Clarence Pendleton lay-up killed the comeback and Rapp went on to win, 7669.
