Four smaller units will be used for family retreats, he continued. “We probably will have no more than two types of activities on any weekend over the first few years," he said, noting that the maximum of 120 visitors to the center specified in the special use permit application was a “worst case” scenario. “Maybe in the spring or fall we'd have a couple of weekends with three treats (for families, engaged couples and young people) going on simultaneously...But it would be the exception rather than the rule.”
Current plans call for four family rretreats in the fall and four in the summer, an eight week extended retreatvacation program in July and August and twice monthly retreats for teenagers during the school year, Bayne said.
