Rappahannock County is one of forty-four Virginia school divisions to be awarded federal funds totaling $350,000. Rappahannock’s share —$8,000—is earmarked for the Gifted and Talented program. Assistant Superintendent Gerald Lysik said that the money is for a high school summer program for gifted or talented Rappahannock students. Culpeper, Madison, and Orange Counties also received grants of $8,000 for their programs.

Homes On Tour
The traditional holiday house walking tour will be held in Winchester Dec. IS from 1 until 6 p.m.
Carolers will stroll Loudoun Street and refreshments will be available along the route. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered, weather permitting. Tickets are available at the Old Friendship Fire Hall, 12 E Cork Street.
