George Strawbridge, coming from behind and thus covered with mud at the finish, won the flat race at the end of the day. Juliet Bishop on T. W. Bullit’s Wild South led from the start until the stretch, when Strawbridge’s Hawaiki galloped by to win by a length. Third was Dr. William Wright’s Double Recipe, ridden by Hilary Thompson.

In the large pony division Blythe Miller rode Lance Nelson’s Red Raven—once campaigned by Ricky Hendricks—to win.
Hill Parker won the horse division on Frances Hill Myers’ Drabo. Second was Joey Clancy on his Ski Lift, followed by Lauren Smith on Jets Demon and Samantha Williams on Allen Olson’s old fashioned pointto-point winner Shandy.
