In honor of the late Theodore C. Barron and in recognition of community needs, the T.C. Barron Memorial Fund has been established with the aim of raising $50,000. The money will be used to purchase an advanced life support system for the Amissville Fire and Rescue Squad.
“This equipment can save lives in the event of a cardiac arrest, stroke or severe shock and trauma,” explained Wayne G. Kanaby. “It will enable rescue volunteers to send information on a victim’s vital functions to doctors waiting at the hospital and eliminate the waste of valuable minutes during transport.”
