Amissville Auction
A benefit auction will be held on Saturday, April 80 at 6:30 p.m. at the Amiss ville Volunteer Fire Department building. Anyone with items to donate can leave them at the fire hall or call the following numbers for pickup: Paul Poling, 9375205; Bobby Carter, 937-4108 or Jack Atkins at 937-5282.
Chester Gap Auction
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department is seeking items for it’s spring auction. Anyone with items to donate is requested to call 635-4673, 635-5501 or 636-2627. The date of the auction will be announced at a later time.
Barn Dancing
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community (RAAC) will sponsor a Barn Dance Friday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m.
There will be square dancin’ and old time music at the Bird Barn two miles northeast of Washington on Fodderstack Road (watch for signs). Rain or shine, admission is $3.50 ($2.50 for RAAC members). If you wish, bring a homemade pie for the Pie Auction (benefit RAAC). Fiddle, bai\jo, guitar, and dance calling by The Dancing Bear from Charlottesville.
