Be aware that your home owners insurance policy can be dropped or some homeowners insurance companies may completely drop you in the event that a high voltage power line crosses your property.
For instance, a farmer who has cattle in a field where the lines are located may have so many claims because of livestock hit by lightning that the insurance company will eventually drop him. If lines are too close to your home, one broken wire could easily burn your home completely and effects from lightning and wind storms could be very dangerous. (Your insurance would soon be dropped).
