Award
Another offspring of Hungry Jack - Hungry Jack 12-has won a top award in the Virginia junior BCIA Bull test held recently in Culpeper.
The big Angus bull, weighing in at 1267 pounds (actual) recorded the highest weight at one year of any Angus bull in Virginia for the past 25 years.
The bull later sold to Gary Wilson of Earlysville for $5,000. He was the highest seller in the show.
Hungry Jack 12 is the offspring of Hungry Jack and a Pathfinder Cow.
He was raised at Ginger Hill, home of Mr. and Mrs. Newbill Miller of Washington.
And if Gentlemen which have little else to do, would be ruled by me, I would advise them to spend their spare time in their gardens; either in digging, setting, weeding, or the like, than which there is no better way in the world to preserve health.
Gentlewomen, if the ground be not too wet, may do themselves much good by kneeling upon a cushion and wedding. And thus both sexes might divert themselves from idlenesse and evil company.
