Mrs. Mary Action White Bowers of Los Altos, California, formerly of Rappahannock County, died April 2, 1983, in El Camino Hospital at Mountain View, California.
Services were conducted on April 7 at the chapel of the Naval Air Station, Moffett Field, Mountain View. Burial was at the Chapel Valley Cemetery at San Mateo, California.
Mrs. Bowers was bom on January 30, 1911, in Rappahannock County, the daughter of Mrs. Lavinia Dudley White of Linden and the late Charles Henry White. She was the widow of Capt. Thomas Kent Bowers, U.S.N.
In addition to her mother, survivors include one daughter, Eveline B. Noyes of San Leandro, California; three brothers, Frank D. White of Salisbury, Md., Alfred L. White of Linden and Robert D. White of Front Royal; two sisters, Eleanor W. Corvan of Linden and Elizabeth W. Whitworth of Front Royal and two granddaughters.
