Beyer will have her quilts on display on Saturday, the only time they will be shown at Rush River over the holidays.
The quilter will also be there to give novices a few hints and suggest suitable materials from the extensive selection she and artist Barbara Boekman offer at Rush River, enough material to make quilts for just about every bed in Rappahannock County.
Founding members Peter and Joyce Kramer will also be at the shop, welcoming guests and serving holiday refreshments. Peter, a nationally known furniture maker, has some of is work on display. In addition to managing a wide selection of books, Joyce, the organizational spirit behind the cooperative, also represents a number of artists who have crafts or paintings shown at Rush River. Their output ranges from corn husk dolls, old fashioned straw brooms, green ware, hand wrought iron ware, and handsplit baskets of white oak to primitive oils.
