Whether justice has heen served relative to Ranee’s death is not for me to decide. A jury was selected to accomplish this task—and they did. A talented young man in the prime of his life is dead—the result of a simple misunderstanding. I wonder what message this type of justice will send to those who may be in a similar situation in the future? What will their decision be?
People must believe that our most precious blessing is life itself. It is a gift of God—a gift that no human being can rightfully take from another. Ranee Spellman lost this most precious gift—over a right-of-way dispute.
