The wedding of Delia Anne Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Weaver of Castleton, to Kenneth M. HoeffelJr., son of Mrs. Kenneth M. Hoeffel of Chevy Chase, Md., and the late Admiral Hoeffel, took place at noon Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Amissville United Methodist Church.
After Mrs. Peter Luke read a poem by Keats, Mr. Luke performed the ceremony. Rev. Steven Parker gave a blessing.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Victorian style ivory gown with a bodice of Alencon lace. Her picture hat was trimmed with tulle and matching lace.
She carried a cascade of fresh white and pink carnations and mums with baby’s breath and ivy, made by Mrs. Emiel Smet.
Mrs. H. Philip Sadler Jr. of Louisa was matron of honor. She wore a suede pink Victorian gown and matching picture hat and carried a cascade of white, pink and lavender carnations and mums.
